Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

Current Voyix “town hall” today - 8/15

Leadership of Voyix is currently doing a town hall but unlike an actual town hall they are censoring the questions asked so I’m sure the low ball pre written questions from ELT will get through lol.

It’s painful to listen to.. they keep saying they care about the business units being sold off and told their time selecting the correct buyers.. BS.. they accepted the largest pay day for themselves from the buyers they selected.

This leadership team lives in the numbers and took this town hall to say don’t worry it’ll be alright this is best for us and our customers our customers not being misplaced is our number one priority, oh yeah ja----s Brendan from NY what about your employees? He also said about 1600 people won’t be coming along with the sale and their “work isn’t done” until the transfer is done? Wtf? Time to start looking for a new home, NCR Voyix peeps…

Brendan-
People working in the office is better than people sitting on their couch during work hours pretending to work.

Also Brendan- I’m doing this town hall at home from my couch.
Rules for thee but not for me.

Good job Brendan. You’re a shining example to every one

…a example of a hypocrite.

By the end of the year, Voyix is gone, now they are trying to dump what’s left, maybe the can sell a couple segments, but it’s the end of the road, separation was expressed as exciting and a celebration, but I think it was quite clear NCR wants out of the retail world, IBM did it years ago, they always act well before NCR. Voyix is simply not a viable business for NCR.

It would be interesting to see a running tally of whats left on the fire sale now that digital banking is done like dinner.

Who's next on the chopping block

1600 digital banking employees aren’t going with the sale?
Isn’t that the entirety of digital banking?

Are you sure he said 1600 will NOT be coming along?

The current market capitalization of VYX is $1.87 billion, including Digital Banking (aka the "crown jewel"), which they've just agreed to sell for $2.45 billion. That means the market is valuing the retail and restaurant businesses at less than zero. (Including debt, obviously.) Jim Kelly and the EVO payments sleeper cell have obviously been successful at buying and selling companies, but it'll be a miracle if they can pull this off. The more immediate question is why they're keeping David and Eric around. Those two just bought 10,000 shares, though, so maybe they've bought themselves some time.

This all stinks but company was going to go bust if changes weren’t made. Should have done this years ago instead of the constant 8 years of layoffs, deck shuffling etc. now it’s at a point where it’s go time. This doesn’t work, the company is truly going byebye
