Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

What will happen to SPTD and ATD in Chandler

Substrate are working on fun panel things that are not going to generate revenue this year or the next (yes, yes, toms hardware and semi wiki might say it's the future, but....) , and assembly.... is almost all done by 3rd parties. Not sure what they do in CH4.

Any news on what's happening there?

Glass panel is …

It has glass inside center. Outside still traditional organic

It cannot compare with wafer level packaging or traditional organic substrate.

CH4 is a NPI site, but it will be impacted as well with jobs shifting to MY.

How will glass substrate make revenue? Zero advantages over organic. When Intel is the only company working on something that none of the competitors have even on their roadmap, it means it is entirely political. The new ATD leadership does not seem to be willing to put up with that type of cr-p so at least that’s promising.

Glass substrate will make revenue.... For Nvidia and amd and Samsung. 5 or 10 yrs in the future. Can Intel last that long. Maybe Apple will buy the factory when they do a fire sale
