Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Calm the F*U-K Down!

Dell's been in business for 40 years, at 30 as a major corporations. Like any business it goes through growth and hirings and then losses and layoffs. So stop acting like Dell is unique terrible in that regard.

Instead hope for the best and prepare for the worst, then surf everything else in between.

Jeff Clarke and their buddy in Nvidia surely have a plan to merge.

Love all these merger fantasies. Look. It aint going to happen.
Nvidia is just selling chips to dell. That's all. That's as good as it gets.
M Dell is cashing in all favours to get hold of some chips.

Dell is late to AI.
Just trying to latch onto the buzzword now. And paying to sit next to the cool kids. The subterfuge won't last.

Nvidia has a $3 trillion dollar market cap. Dell is worth 3% of Nvidia. Nvidia could buy Dell pretty easily but wouldn't benefit at all from such a purchase.

Super micro has 5,000 employees and Dell has 100,000. Super Micro will likely have number 1 market share in AI in one year.

SM $36 billion market cap 5000 employees

Dell $80 billion 100,000 employees

Dell will need to let go of a lot more people.to stay competitive in AI.

Unique to Dell is the years long intentionally toxic environment to force attrition to save money on severance. Or at least it’s nefarious enough to be noteworthy.

And probably not a good idea to have the word Bear in your name if you're a financial company.

"Bear Stearns was in business for 85 years..."

Something has to be up the fact that there has been this many layoffs - it can’t just be AI. Micky Dell has had enough and Jeff Clarke and their buddy in Nvidia surely have a plan to merge. No company sheds this many without a merger , it’s just like they are doing loads now to make it easier in the long term

Bear Stearns was in business for 85 years but execs bet the farm on the real estate hype bubble. Bubble went pop and so did Bear Stearns. Never mistake longevity for invincibility.

24 or 25K WFRs in the last 15 months puts it at one of the worst, currently. I mean, that's being objective.
