Thread regarding Northrop Grumman Corp. layoffs

NG Layoff Culture

I'm new to NG but the layoff culture is not very encouraging for building a career. I work in CA where the cost of living isn't met by the cost of labor. Is it worth remaining and building a career if they are quick to cut jobs because of contract losses. Also because considering bc the speed of promotion is slow. California is just an option. Should I stay or get out?

I still have job luckily but, my position was just replaced without notice. I was doing a good job and my team but, this crazy subcontractor doesn’t like me. She has created a lot of conflict for me and my team yet, she’s still there. NG has a no creating conflict cause but, they don’t seem to follow it. Wish they would send her packing. It would be better for everyone on the project.

Or, it might get better, get in while you can

I thought the culture is what NG is marketing and talking about and joined two years ago. This is FALSE.

NG culture is toxic and the organization uses layoffs as a way to show that they are profitable. I am considering leaving as well. I saw who they laid off at our business and they were not people that were not performing. They were high performers and the layoffs seem to be political.

I learned a good lesson and will use it in the future to do better search about a company instead of believing what the company posts on media when deciding to accept an offer.
