To escape banktrupcy. TDC must urgently overhaul its strategy. One more year of apathy and delays, then all lights will turn off !
Easy to agree on AI; it has propelled Data Management & Analytics on an interstellar orbit. where few are maneuvering successfully.
On one hand, TDC can definitely not operate as a startup : too old, too formal, too heavy, too rigid. One the other hand, , competing front to front in this area against Microsoft, OpenAI, Google is way too high and far beyond reach.
But all hope is not lost. A safe harbour exists. From its beginning since its decline eight years ago, TDC has always been a bright niche player. Focusing and thriving and is the company DNA. The challenge now is to find rapidly directions to Promised Land. Where ? : one tech capability critical to AI marketed to a reduced of industries on limited geographies with a hard -to-copy , hard-to-match bundle high value services ? Perhaps. What’s sure is “going back to the niche” won’t be comfortable. It will certainly demand de-investing some “beloved” areas, discontinuing products…and people , shutting down location. It’s the toll for survival. BUT IT’S RIGHT NOW ! Some hard decisions have to be taken,

That's a great big duh...
But it doesn't matter, ELT don't care about turning Teradata around at this point.
