Sorta, yes. I was in a transition role, and wanted to leave before my official transition role end date. i requested an early exit, and it was approved. As part of this, BC agreed to pay my full transition bonus, as if I stayed all the way through the end. They did not hold back, or prorate my transition bonus.
Nope from Cork, they don't let me leave on a voluntary basis.
This time for SDE the numbers are low, so I have been silently ignored, but let's say what will happen in the next quarter! Also there is no rumor about consultations...
Take what you can get and go. Don't be a bi@tch.
This is exactly why people form unions. In a negotiation between an individual and a huge company, back the company.
You've missed the best opportunity to negotiate, that was before the acquisition. A member of our team reached out to Betsy Sutter directly and she agreed to his proposal. In hindsight, I wish that I followed his lead. A smart proactive move, anticipating a future reality of the misery that is now work life at Broadcom.
Let me say it with a Malaysian Chinese American accent.
Don’t dispute, take money, fxck of or I fxck you
Successful negotiation requires leverage. What leverage do you have? Refusal to accept the check?
It su-ks, but that’s the reality.
if you decide to lawyer up, shoot for arbitration quickly. It will drag out otherwise until you concede. It's just the way it is here
I have never seen that happen here, but seen many try. (U.S. based anyway)
Even with a lawyer, I think it’s a dead end. Just an opinion.
