ppl earning $80K or less are generally very secure in NM, and those in the $90K range are also considered safe. Based on this fact its a good sign for you.
However, the techies earning above $100K may face bad luck. They could be unfairly blamed for project failures that are actually due to poor project management or some inefficient offshore performance.
No surprise no one trusts DG.
I'm a people leader and I haven't heard anything. Is that a good sign for me.
Culling redundant staff and low performers on a regular basis is a sign of a healthy and self-aware organization.
Be good at what you do or get out of the way.
What does 'Invest in the new areas outsource operations is what we are being told' mean?
Confirmed, our leadership has shared a net deduction of 4-7 percent of staff (employee/contractors) starting near the end of 2024. Less assets mean less support. Invest in the new areas outsource operations is what we are being told.
I'm a people leader and was briefed on this earlier this week. They are aiming for more layoffs towards the end of the year. SDLC, Simplify to Accelerate, and other efforts touted as simplification or improvements to process are meant to not only slim our tech but the people behind it.
Given some of the collapsing of existing work groups that now have a bunch of people that they are racing to find work for is this much of a surprise?
