Does anyone know if there will be more lay offs in October? Or if they will dissolve Landmark all together? These are rumors I've heard and just wonder if anyone else has heard the same.

HBMC is SO much bigger than only LM: Optum at Home & housecalls are the majority of hbmc and also where LM rolled up to ultimately. I'm guessing "Landmark" employees left will be separated into 2 buckets Q4_24: those who will be right-sized/RIF'd/Redeployed (whichever buzzword you like better) and those who will be straight up hbmc people supporting the other products like HCs
Landmark will be gone by end of 2024. Those left will be let go.
Yes, by the end of the year HBMC (aka Landmark) will be no more. Health plans are not renewing contracts with Optum. That is why there was a dissolving of 18 markets today. The focus now will be on UHG patients. Of course Optum will “honor” their contracts but it will look like this: the HBMC that is left will have very little if nothing to do with those health plan patients. The next round of layoffs will be those remaining positions in what is left of Landmark. I can say this without bias and with absolute certainty because I was not eliminated from Optum on 4/18 or today.
I heard there will be another RIF in October after Q3 earnings are released. After April and the RIF today, there's very little left of HBMC/Landmark to further reduce. At this rate I wouldn't be surprised if HBMC was shutdown by Jan 2025.
There’s barely anything left of the company after today, so my educated guess is to get the h*ll out of here if you didn’t lose your job like many of us did today.
