Thread regarding Optum layoffs

3 billion dollar purchase, all in cash?! Layoffs make sense now.

UnitedHealth Group Inc. (NYSE: UNH) will divest a number of care centers as part of its effort to close a $3.3 billion acquisition of Amedisys Inc., a big home health care provider.

Found some interesting information above about United selling centers to close a 3 billion dollar purchase of Amedisys. There's sources online saying the deal is set to close on the second half of 2024. Would make perfect sense for layoffs to be occurring. That's just my two sense though.
