I’m thinking about applying for a job. Looked at all relevant sites, and all I’m seeing is that CommScope is in bad shape. Layoffs, pay cuts, no promotions, bad management. Does it make any sense to even try? Would you recommend applying? Job market is cr-p these days, and I'm sending out applications everywhere. No luck so far. Few offers, none of them particularly good.

It depends on how badly you need a job and what you will be doing. I view CS now as just a paycheck until the market gets better.
If you like pain, join.
It's really really bad, but it's also better to have a job then to not have one. You should apply in case nothing else comes up.
Dont do it. Just no.
It has toxic environment and culture. The reality is, applied it but keep looking for somewhere else, do not stay long or it never will let u.
