Well that would explain why central outreach has done such a cr-ppy job…
I was not included in layoffs and am in the central outreach department. I am honestly surprised it hasn’t been completely shut down already. Horrible practices, horrible management, I would not advise anyone to apply here. And honestly as for me and my peers we all applied for UHC patient care and she’d tricked into the landmark department. Absolutely none of us applied for this department or knew what it was before we go pushed into a training class. So it’s been a bad taste in our mouths since day one. But the job market is so bad only a few of us have been able to secure other employment either with a different department in UHC or with a whole other company all together.
Yes, by the end of the year HBMC (aka Landmark) will be no more. Health plans are not renewing contracts with Optum. That is why there was a dissolving of 18 markets today. The focus now will be on UHG patients. Of course Optum will “honor” their contracts but it will look like this: the HBMC that is left will have very little if nothing to do with those health plan patients. The next round of layoffs will be those remaining positions in what is left of Landmark. I can say this without bias and with absolute certainty because I was not eliminated from Optum on 4/18 or today.
I dont foresee Optum going after any contracts. LM will likely be fully dissolved and any remaining employees if there are any will be absorbed by other business segments. I could see there being no separation between LM services and instead just being a higher level of Housecalls.
