What a genius take...they'd lay off the ones that would solve the budget issue in the least amount of head reduction. 5 year old could of figured this out. Also maybe some are not from the US or live in low CoL cities but low 6 figures is nothing on the east coast and any decent job pays it. That will get you a one bed apartment. If you're making any less you're the gullible one that lets themself be taken advantage of and somehow stay loyal and not get a better job.

While I don't want anyone to be laid off, I never understood by there are so many levels of VPs and Directors here. If someone has to go, why not make it someone that probably has a golden parachute ?
