One of my friends is a training manager and her boss told her there is another round coming late Sept/early Oct. This ship is going down and they don’t care about any of us unless they like you then you are good, but if they don’t then you can’t trust your job will remain. Prepare yourselves. You have been warned. Believe me I’m at risk for losing my job just as much as the next one. It’s scary for all of us. Good luck everyone.
A friend of a co-worker who is in a high position said that there is another round coming late March 2025. Seems like it’s a big number of people on the corporate side. Instead of telling people and letting them look more actively or accept that new position they keep quiet and spring it on people. Beef up your resume and always be looking. None of us are safe. I remember when WellMed was a good company. Now it’s constant fear of losing our jobs. It’s no longer healthcare it’s just greed care. I guess the shareholders at UHG didn’t like the profits so we have to lose our jobs. Millions are never enough for these people. Good luck everyone. We are going to need it.
Wondering if there will be a second round of layoffs. Last Thursday was a bad day for our clinic in Texas. Today we were told they will have remaining employees on one side of our clinic. I doubt the other have will be empty for a while. Unsure if they will be bringing another clinic in and getting ride of more people.
It sounded like they were saying there are more to come as well!
Can yall believe Dr. Rapier and his crony Dr. Hernandez had the audacity to say they conducted this layoff with dignity and grace!? Sc-m the lot of them!
A boot was firmly planted in my backside as well yesterday.
Was laid off today in Texas as an MA
negotiate severance that is good one. UHG policy is no negotiating when hired and sure as he-l no negotiating when kicked to the curb.
Read your severance package carefully before signing it. According to former employees that were laid off, they had a hard time receiving unemployment. Severance pay might reduce your benefit amount or make you ineligible.
What is the severance package those of you all affected?
Is it possible to negotiate?
Those who are in a position to seek a second opinion from an employment attorney, please share what you learned for the rest of the group.
Started my morning with my job...cryptic recorded mandatory meeting.... I have no idea when I can clean out my desk, etc. Things have been odd lately, changes and otherwise. We weren't even a merging clinic. Definitely not the self advertised culture. FL.
7 clinics closed in NTX. All staff let go. Can reapply for open positions.
Just ended the survivors call for NTX Wellmed clinics
What are they rebranding too?
Our doctor confirmed it’s bad news we have a feeling it’s layoffs
Once WellMed goes to Optum machines, their IT departments will be folded because Optum Tech will be managing it.
all i saw is that wellmed will be migrating to optum machines. pretty standard stuff
Rebranding. Clinics merging. Nothing to worry about. Going to be busy and chaotic for awhile. Hold tight and ride it out.
Was told it's a "re-org"
Same! Wondering do we all need to pack up our belongings this afternoon.
Also at a Wellmed clinic in Texas wondering the same as well. We're being told it's nothing to worry about.....but we all have that feeling like something more is going on
