I was laid off last year around this time. It took a bit, but my former associates glowing reviews helped me land a gig with 10k a year higher pay l, better benefits and smaller company (which makes recognition on achievements feel more meaningful)
If layoffs are happening, lean on your network and save as much as you can while you loom for work. DELL was a great workplace. There are other great workplaces out there.
People have been brainwashed to think change is great. Change isn't great if you are laid off. The job market isn't as good as it was. Make sure you save as much money as you can during these tough times. It isn't easy but at least give it a thought.
LOL. People stop with this. Lay off is not a "bad event" . It is a change , a turn ,a new beginning in your journey of life. Look forward to the change. God's blessing is with everyone. Believe in your own skills and move forward. You have your health and family with you.
