Just when I started to breathe more easily again, they dropped this on us. I'm done with this place. I can't work for a company where we can't go a few months without layoffs. I'll be out of here as soon as I find something else. My mental health deserves better than this.

Small regular layoffs don't attract too much PR and instill fear in people's mind. Will I be on the next list? Running on fear is deliberate and also toxic. Lots of literature on that topic.
Why stress over it? It’s out of your control. Do the best you can and keep your resume and network warm. Not worth internalizing that stress.
I feel the same. It might be time to look elsewhere.
Unfortunately it isn't really different at other large tech companies.
Frequent reorganizations and subsequent layoffs have been a part of the Salesforce fabric for many years. It seems to be part of their strategy to stay relevant and so far, they seem to be successful with this approach.
