You can tell a lot about a company by the way they treat the ones they laid off.
What's everyone's experience so far?

They still haven't paid my last wage or severence and it's past due based on their own severence contract.
Im talking from EU the experience and it was just fine. Except awkward “must read sentence” spoken by manager- they been scripted and tasked by HR to read stupid sentences and it was sooo lame! Severance was payed with last payroll - no issues with that.
Mediocre. HR overwhelmed and stopped answering emails. Said they were swamped. Really? You layoff 7K people and didn’t expect increased volume? Crazytown.
this is 100% true. You can tell a lot about a company by how they treat employees during tough times, especially during layoffs when everyone is stressed and in need of compassion...
Great companies handle difficult situations like layoffs with class, showing respect and taking care of the people who have to leave. I'm not sure where we stand tho... some aspects are good, but there are many stories that aren't.
Citi su-ks
I agree that 90% managers they dont even know how to treat people. SVP's and D's i see feels like they are USA Vice precidents. Funny guys.
Worst…. They don’t treat employees with dignity
I was laid off September 2023. The experience was fine. The only issue was they paid my severance 1.5 months after my non-working notice ended. They should have paid it with my last paycheck. Also for those folks out there that are loyal to their companies, don’t be loyal. I was loyal and I got the boot! All of my previous experience and education did not matter. They were looking to save a quick buck and got rid of me so always lookout for yourself.
