What's outline of steps that seems typical for lay-offs?
Are individual meetings set up first for those let go and then the 'survivor's' meetings happen? Same day? Same week?
Anyway to get a sense of what scheduled meetings mean?

If you are getting hit, you’ll either get a short meeting sent to you the evening before or early in the morning on the day of.
The survivor meetings really depend on the management. Sometimes they wait a day or two before saying anything, but typically they have an all hands meeting in the afternoon after the dust has settled to disseminate the unfortunate news.
