So finally they have admitted that "some roles will be impacted". They want to move positions to GBS from local entities. And also a new center in India is to be established. More news should follow in the coming months.

history is repeating itself but new leaders never read history. They focus on the short term 3-5 years and that is it. The first wave of IT and call centers moved to India about 20 years ago and created a nightmare. Rising cost and poor customer experience. Per head is cheaper but less efficiency (25%) or less. It is proven to be a disaster.
i am hearing fran is out in digital. big changes coming in digital
Definitely an entity by entity approach.
I&E merging into Solutions will result in reductions. Pune will expand as and when roles can be moved there.
Targeted redundancies with no EOI on offer since too many would put their hand up and create chaos! Lessons learned from reinvent maybe?
MA and GB have both said more change will follow but what’s new?
Sounds like it will be an entity by entity rollout as opposed to at company level
Castrol
doesn't seem to be company-wide announcement... what location/entity got the announcement?
@1dnt+1twLMFuX yes it was :)
Was this an internal announcement? I didn’t see anything come out.
"We can only achieve this transformation with your support. Thank you for all you do for bp."
In that case, I would like to formally withdraw my support. 🙄
I could see the India thing coming when BL spent August last year over there schmoozing anyone who would listen to him. I seem to recall it was Anja who accompanied him.
Also, how impudent do you have to be to end the communication about layoffs with "We can only achieve this transformation with your support. Thank you for all you do for bp.".
Shameless
Where is the announcement?
It's because if they had admitted that earlier, it would have been obvious that they have been lying to us in the first place ("no layoffs are planned").
Don’t know why it took them so long to finally admit. BP really is putting all their eggs in one basket with this India thing.
