Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

RTO

I know this is a hot topic. Curious if anyone has heard anything about RTO and if people are getting slaps on the wrist for falling short of 3x minimum?

Post ID: @1xpz+1tw3IIZN It may be tracked but it truly depends on whether your manager will allow you to RTO only once every week, twice per month and I've literally witnessed none at all. There's NO way in H3LL everyone is RTO-ing 3 times per week when there are so many empty desks every day! In Risk "Management" I have an AN@L Psychopath "manager" who has No life and is High on a Power Trip with having 7 direct reports who insists on everyone of her direct reports to RTO 3x per week. Other managers in the same team don't care especially if they have young children because they understand that people have lives, commuting is expensive and time-consuming and commuting only takes time away from doing real work! Like I said, it truly depends on whether you have a PsychoB!tch Power Hungry Has No Life "Manager" or not.

@1xpz+1tw3IIZN I’m not surprised. Just another example of a stellar job HR is doing.

I'm one of the O&T people who barely go in because (a) it's too depressing in the office, (b) my team is global and we're on Zoom calls most of the day, (c) they were incorrectly counting people who do go in anyways, and (d) no one has said anything, including my manager.

Last year, it was heavily tracked because some goon from the COO team would call me when my directs were supposedly not going in. One guy on my team was going in 5x per week because his apartment's AC wasn't working and he was somehow on the list. So yeah, hard to care when the company doesn't have a clue what it's doing and is prioritizing BS like this.

They take it seriously! Citi spends their time and resources babysitting its workers. We are all adults that knows what needs to be done. Years ago nobody cared if you came in or not as long as the work got done. We could use the gas savings by staying home.

For me, I have a formula I follow.
WFH = 8+x H per day. Work from home, 8+ hours of work per day.
WFO = 8 H per day. Work from office, you get ONLY 8 hours of work per day.

You want me to come into the office, no issues at all. You’ll get just 8 hours on those days.

I have not heard of anyone getting reprimanded in O&T for not coming into the office.
Nor has there being any mention of it affecting year end ratings.
However attendance to the office is being tracked and we have been forewarned how the data could be used.
It's going to be the usual lazy people who think policy does not apply to them that is going to get this privilege taken away for everyone.
I am going in faithfully 2 to 3 days per week.
I need my job to pay my bills and support my family.

In private bank and wealth tech we’ve been tracked and reprimanded for not coming in

I know for a fact that RTO is being tracked. They might use it as a means to support low performance ratings. They’ll use anything they can to get what they’re after.

I haven't heard or noticed any slap on the wrists for not doing three days.
I know of a few who never come in. I have come in two days at times.
Hey, I'm grateful for the hybrid opportunity. I hope it continues.

RTO is just another keyword to use during layoff. I have seen lots of employees sitting at home remotely not even showing their face to office.
