Didn't CA say no more layoffs for FY'24 and that he would step down if Q had to do it again. Perhaps they will do it in October as FY'25 initiative?

"It is just change blood, and political game."

Where did they hire those folks?

last year laid off 5000, then hire 4000, this year, another 4000 lay off, maybe will have another 4000 hiring. It is just change blood, and political game.

QCOM does not have layoff, at least in that term. It is called "Mandate" internally. Every manager used to tell their forks "we don't layoff people" when they join the company...

Q is going to keep getting worse while the investors hollow it out.

The top of Q doesn’t give a damn about the average Q peon; they report to Wall Street investors and only care about their $ millions. That’s corporate America

by cheaper, you mean benefit India

maybe we should begin at the top of Q where we have a large discrepancy between net worth/salary and skill set

CA told investors: "I'm gonna outsource every job from pricey San Diego that can be done from cheaper third world countries"

mundane repeat implementation tedious tasks which involve manual labor will go to cheaper locations ...nothing to do with India.....why would someone 200k for writing test vectors when it can be done in 1/4 amount of money......

It’s not a layoff but geo shift. They get rid of people in US then hire replacements a few months later in India.

Notice the number of employees have remained the same after last year multiple layoffs. Check LinkedIn - Q has more people in India than US today.
