No one is getting replaced. Some heads might get reduced sure.
Really? Thanks captain obvious. Dell is making AI available to other companies not AI replacing Dell workers. You can't be that dense, can you?
OpenAI Q* is reportedly capable of grade school math. Stable diffusion is still generating images with severely deformed hands. That's a lot of development, hardware, and power fur underwhelming outcomes in my opinion.
LLMs have been around for a long time. Speech recognition has been around for a while. Auto shape detection has been around.
If this is the 4th industrial revolution it's off to a weird start.
Not true. Chad D. is heading AI product, after leading APEX, and HCI before that. So, there's probably some shift somewhere, and Apex will maybe do something beyond being a brand for Dell leasing?
Musk bought 10s of thousands of servers for AI from Dell. I think companies are striving for AI. Hyperscalers have been eating Dell’s lunch for a while. Dell’s hope that everything is coming back to on-prem is still in the air. The perceived ease of the cloud is still out there.

AI will be something you use for work tasks just the same as we use the internet today.
It’s just an augmentation to how you work / do things.
Chances of Dell doing anything clever at a business level with AI in the near future are slim to none… (see Tell Dell under tools & processes).
For the most part, the mass layoffs from various companies are just ways to maximize profits under the false pretense that you’re being replaced by AI. The whole AI thing today (in my opinion) is all a scam. It’s just a matter of time when the AI craze dies down and companies will realize the mistake they’ve made.
I am waiting it to start imploding soon, actually much sooner than some expect..
