If you have the skills and come across as smart, it doesn't matter if you have Citi name. If you were an Excel data entry warrior with an inflated title, then yeah, you're toast.
The brand name is toast. I have an MBA at a top 5 business school and 15 years of work experience, and I've had only 2 interviews after 300+ applications. One of those interviews seemed more like an info gathering session, as it was with a rival big bank.
When I worked for a competitor in the same role, only 3 years ago, I had a 10% interview rate. I know the market is different now and favors employers. But every day, I regret coming here and am frankly embarrassed to work here.
Not sure if this is true. I've watched over the last 75 days as colleagues have landed quite nice roles in other financial & non-financial entities. These weren't laid off individuals either.
I agree. The Technology sector is completely transformed outside. We are using outdated tech. Business, we are outdated and losing to our competitors.
