So can a store manager lose they job for having a spouse on payroll never really works in store does schedule etc from home occassionally puts out truck got suspened today and district manager told everyone store manager will be gone for awhile but no specifics .

The only issues that may arise is if she got in the way of the affair with the pharmacist and store manager. Other than that you should be fine.
As long as they aren’t doing the pokey pokey they should be fine.
Management can’t directly manage their spouse or family members.
Why do we have store employees working from home and not assisting our valued customers? That is the bigger question.
Short answer is the remedy for almost anything CVS firing wise is “up to and including termination of employment “. If the manager was otherwise competent and no one else was fired for the same reason, then a suspension and transfer of the manager from same-store assignment as the spouse seems more likely.
