Director of Divisional Operations are being cut..
which makes sense they are all useless and its just gets rid of layers of manager that is not needed
Agreed regarding the possibility to consolidate / merge teams from Macys & Bloomingdales to trim the fat. Makes sense
What's LIC studio? Macy's Live....did anyone watch it? IMO this company will survive but obviously be much smaller. I don't know if they do now, but I would not be surprised to see corp people be responsible for Macys AND Bloomingdales for certain aspects. I worked for a retailer that had 2 distinct arms but eventually positions were merged to cover both chains and departments were downsized.
I worked in corporate and I do feel that is time for the company to cut back on corporate and invest in stores. If I get cut I have no issue working in stores because it is time that corporate employees like myself get to fully understand and appreciate what our store employees are dealing with.
I KNEW someone from stores would respond this way.

Unless you work at Herald Square you should focus on the position you may face as well as others.
This site is for ALL macys employees, not just store positions.
I do hope Macy’’s cut some of those corporate jobs and use that money to invest in stores.

I dont know what, but something seems very off
My post was regarding shaky vibes in LIC studio.
Lots of small but big changes, adjustment of a big title person, macys live going away, using outside advertising agency for marketing,bloomingdales coming to look at our studio space etc etc
Please share on your end , what have you heard or seen?
