Both are bad.
Based upon comments from my neighbor who works at Shell, both are very similar. He described BP as an early indicator for what is going to happen at Shell because they follow BPs lead so often.
A few decades back, Shell was the leader in GOM and BP rode their coattails to get into GOM and learn. I don’t think either is considered a “leader” in the industry in that part of the world anymore.
Both European companies that are confused as to what their business model is and should be. That’s never good. Both lack in a strong long term strategy.
Shell does not have any onshore L48 unconventional assets. Weak.
