Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Let me volunteer to be laid off!

Please! I want to be laid off. What do I have to do to make it a reality? It will make me happy and save somebody else's job, so it's a win-win.

I've never understood going back. Life is about moving forward. Why would want to be rehired? Is Optum so awesome? I understand it's of people like to "work" in pajamas, but in the end, it's getting you nowhere. Bigger, better things are out there, where it's a tad more difficult but it's worth it.

@lqh+1trS5jdX I'm concerned about how that request would be interpreted. I have a good relationship with my manager, but they would have to bubble up my request to their supervisor and HR. I fear they'll use this as motivation to look for reasons to terminate me instead of adding me to the next RIF list. Termination is cheaper than being laid-off because the company won't have to provide a severance package.

Add me to the list! I'm currently remote this week and my RM is such a snake she asked one of the physicians about office keys and alarm code, I'm literally working and she could've just asked me! I get corp is unsure of how anyone would react to news they're being laid off but going about it in this manner shows just poor leadership. I'm ready to go!

If you have a good relationship with your manager, you can ask your manager to get added to the list.
