Thread regarding CDK Global Inc. layoffs

9200

Any dealership that still has an old 9200 onsite is laughing all the way to the bank. It is no surprise that all the garbage duct taped together to form a DMS got hacked. Old MacDonald was never interested in "fueling for growth" and many of the suggestions in the employee survey from 2017 included fixes that would have prevented the breach.

But the idio ts at Elliott Investment Management blocked most of these suggestions and just did a bunch of layoffs. (some of which had 30 years with the company and knew 30 different ways to perform a breach, so it was just a matter of time till one of these guys passed on this info to a offshore hacker.)

sooo if cdk stands for “Can’t, Don’t Know” then what’s the deal with all the downtime? I guess it was meant to be a joke or something but it’s not funny now 😅 every time something goes wrong, we end up losing hours of work. and what about our customers? they’re getting frustrated too. there must be a better way to manage these systems. has anyone tried using other software solutions? maybe it’s time for a change.
