RTO policy Cork

With regards to RTO in Cork: Let’s say the „get back in there“ campaign might not work as planned and the numbers of people going to the office will not increase: will we just all get fired because we are not going back or will Hock close the site or could it be both?

Hock has no issue with going with the nuclear option and closing a plant if they aren’t RTO. He said this to the Austin folks recently.

RTO is a bluff. Many people still work from home, and many more are granted remote during a pandemic. As time goes on, people on RTO will be on attrition, and remotes will tend to stick around. What’s left is the empty offices where Hock will shut it down, but people still need to run the skeleton branch. The majority of the senior executives are not near the main sites.

Folks who don't return will be fired most likely. The rest might be laid off eventually if the office doesn't work for BC - just speculating.
