Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

MASSIVE layoff coming in september

Don’t ask how I know. Rumor has it that TD is trying to prep for a private equity sale. Management is saying that this September layoff will target 10-15% of the company. Be prepared and start prepping your resume.

Everyone needs to sharpen up their resume as no one will be safe. The fear culture has swept over everyone in my team and we all know it won't be long before we get that 15min call put into our calendars

The PE sale is coming. It makes sense too. The ELT and board will cash in and get out leaving the rest of us to struggle.

Best thing we can do is organize a walk out until the ELT resigns.

Anyone who wants a highly performant analytics platform. It’s still the fastest and most efficient database platform available. It would drastically help Microsoft or Databricks or Snowflake. Not sure they realize that but it’s true.

Though the focus has been on GROWING Annual Recurring Revenue, there is still a quite impressive underlying revenue number and quite a few blue chip marquee customers that will have to keep paying for $$$ for years to come.

If you're just looking for a strong revenue stream and not growth, TD would be quite attractive at the current price.

If this is true dump the (obviously worthless) ELT now and save a couple of pennies.

They will buy teradud for pennies in the dollar. this is a company well past it's prime, holding onto a handful of customers.

If they don't get a PE buyout, then it's chapter 11.
