August 5th notification and August 9th last day.
I really do hope it is not true. and i agree that it would be off cycle for them to do it mid quarter. However, it is what multiple sales leaders are saying. Maybe it will be management and not ICs? Maybe its all rumor. I guess we will find out.
Why would sakes be impacted on July 15th, the quarter isn't even over, that would be crazy
rotational people making the rounds to their new groups for the next year
@3sat+1tnrL80Q nope they were not. I spoke with them. Not I terns and everyone in IT said hew Hires not nrlew interns.
Week August 5th in the US.
Broadcom doesn't need a storage business
just got wind from a leader in sales that sales will be impacted on Monday (7/15). Invites to go out on Friday.
The new hires are summer interns.
they're part of the rotational program. Some of these 'new hires' have been here for two years already in different departments. At the end of the year, they get to choose where they want to go if recs are permitted.
"Will broadcom buy the storage business?"
It would not surprise me at all.
I'm going to sort of quote Napoleon Dynamite here...
"Whenever we feel like it! Gosh!"
They had 150 new hires starting today haha replacing those that were laid off a year ago at lower new hire pay. They all looked very young and fresh. Not older than 25. 🤔
Will broadcom buy the storage business?
Read previous posts. This question has been addressed numerous time.
Lol at Dell management spending time on layoff sites fuming at aynonomus posts the entire weekend.
The tech market is currently in a bubble frenzy. The higher ups know it's only a matter of time for the bubble to pop. They will keep cutting leaner riding the hype wave in anticipation for the correction. After the implosion there will be a very slow recovery. Try to hold on right now. Do not quit your job no matter how miserable the managers and know-nothing execs force their incompetent and incoherent "strategies" upon you. Make them pay severance and stay put. It's the only way to play the game right now.
There is 0% chance of storage being sold
Selling storage, no chance of that happening
storage is no goose laying golden eggs. it is a drag, it must go.
Selling storage, no chance of that happening
Guess thats the only think keeping this from being officially “a dead-end job.”
I think the layoffs have started already. I hear scores are let go in Hopkinton.. The Storage division is prepped for sale..
30% , what nonsense
30% average - notified on 8/5 and 9/9
They never start, just continue
Lol move on like you move on from this site ?
You spend so much time on this site .. literally every post has you shouting this nonsense about dell won't hire you back
Twi things
What numbers have you heard
I don’t know, I’m hearing conflicting numbers. It’s probably different per BU.
What % cuts ?
They haven’t really stopped for over a year at this point. But for this August’s big one, some started for HR and leadership level in July. Bulk of US will be weeks of 8/5 and 8/12. Thankfully my group isn’t being hit hard, but this one will be pretty steep - sales, CoC, lots of product and operational consolidations.
already did
