An ex 108 friend joined RND there and was laid off some 6 months later , they threw all the impossible tasks at him without any context.
Unless you lost your job or you are top performer in $WDC looking for extra increment , otherwise i dont recommend $MU. It is the same, even to $STX.
if you join a new company you don't have friends, and nobody waiting for you. You need to open the gates yourself as each person will protect own territory. As you need to learn, you will need to ask questions and favors.
This is my experience leaving WD 2 years ago. To summarize: It is the same sh-t everywhere and everywhere you deal with people. It is not Micron, it is people.
I made it work at the new company I work now, but with the same idea, I could have made more at WD
