With all these cuts other teams are hiring entry level offshore talent to do most of the work. My small team has not had to yet but Q3 could change that.
Any idea how much cheaper offshore contractors or hires are compared to new full-time hires? And what is the difference between a US contractor and a direct hire?

In GBs last town hall, he said 1 new hire = $250k. He didn’t specify grade level, just “new hire”, but that kind of tracks when you consider taxes, insurance, 401k match, pension, etc. There is a lot of carrying costs besides just salary.
