I got the word in May 2023 but in all fairness it wasn't really a layoff as much as the new Palo Alto Fed boss was bringing in his boys and had to make room for a few one an Engineer who wanted to be a sales guy so they did away with my territory and gave him the head count. Was pi---d at first but looking back I am glad it was a sinking ship even with all the BS they throw out about banner years yada yada if Juniper was doing so hot why sell to another dinosaur name HPE.... top guys will make tens of millions and then the rest will face redundancy lay offs throughout 2025. Glad to be gone. Retirement next spring for sure Tech is just not fun any more.

I think the reverse is not possible, and a $500 million or more deal cancellation penalty applies to HP if they back out of the deal.
