Thread regarding CDK Global Inc. layoffs

Congratulations, Brian McD: Lawsuits are coming from everywhere

Good luck paying up on a 7-10% of the entire auto industry's 2-week income.

You incompetent f*$ks in the C-Suite shouldn't have done all those layoffs and outsourcing, should you? Bet it felt real good to kick out all the execs who just wanted a good business to run well, and when you replaces them with your (McD-loving) cronies. Bet it felt great to get all those dollar bills at the expense of livelihoods.

Bet it doesn't feel good anymore now, does it, chump? Your entire C-suite just lost their careers in one swoop thanks to you (and them!)

I hope the dealerships' lawyers come after you and your board personally, Brian, and yes, it is possible: https://natlawreview.com/article/how-ceo-can-be-liable-noncompliant-business

It's one thing to be wealthy. Anyone can make money by theft.

It's another to have the respect and admiration of peers and public alike. Can't get much respect or admiration if your entire legacy is one of blazing incompetence.

Also, there are ways to sue him directly, bypassing the protection that incorporation normally provides. It wouldn't take much to prove depraved negligence in a civil suit.

Here's some straight talk. Old McDonald doesn't give a flying f*** about CDK. His only concern is to walk out richer than he went in, which is certainly written into his contract. He's not losing a minute of sleep over this. Getting hacked is just one of those things that happens when you gut a company to improve your personal bottom line.

Funny how the straight talk doesn't involve any actual details of what happened, who was responsible, if the ransom was paid, if customer data was actually leaked or not, or all the suggestions from employees over the past 10 years to improve security which were ignored due to fueling for growth.

Karma is a bi--h and finally catching up to McDonald after all he has done to ruin CDK!
For Brookfield to bring him back for a second time as CEO shows you they are made from the same mold! I feel horrible for all the longtime employees that survived and a lot of the great clients CDK has, but I hope they hang McDonald because of this and he suffers like he has done too many!

The CIO's LinkedIn page claims that he's both CIO and CISO.

After “Fueling for Growth”, “Fit and Focused”, and “Hacked and Helpless”, the new slogan should be “Loading for Lawsuits”.

While I feel for the customers and any remaining long time employees, it is quite satisfying to see all of this blow up in BM’s face.

How soon will there be layoffs and will offer a severance package?

Do we have a CISO? Oh, wait, not anymore. We are not run like a tech company.

Only people who get ahead here are the yes people who can summarize other people’s hard work and package it as their own.

The layoffs are definitely on the horizon.
