I’ve been planning to leave for a while, and have been scouting for a job. Was even offered at one point a remote position (unicorn these days, I know). It’s not impossible to find something else, and I wouldn’t mind even being paid less just to be gone. This job market and corporate setup requires you to move around frequently just to be at least sometimes ahead.

Some people who are getting laid off due to bad performance have known it for months now. They have updated their linkedin and have been sending resumes.
You can confirm it, when you visit their LI profile.
Some good advice.
the more years you have at dell the more it will hurt you in the long run
Austin and round rock area is and never was the tech market.
the tech job market isn't as bad as some post, especially if not tied to Austin
As mentioned try to spend as little time at dell as possible. Those who leave struggle in the adult work force. Those who have been for 10+ years who leave are usually ousted from their new job in just months. The tolerance for the bs outside of the dell bubble is not high.
Job market is awful in tech. There will likely be a massive bubble burst and a slow recovery in tech. VC's and bubble investors are dumping trillions into chat bots. Only 2% of users are leveraging these chat bots in a productive way . MD has already cashed out billions. Once the market deflates 401ks will be hit and the folks at the base of the ponzi scheme pyramid will take the worst hit. It's not looking good in no-skill tech jobs
if you work at dell, su-ks for you
and if you get WFR good luck. having dell on your resume for X years is a red flag.
I hope I don’t get let go, the job market is really bad now. If I had a better offer though, I’d leave today.
The fake-data spreadsheet sweatshop eats away at the core of human morality. You can only lie so much before you morph into a Dell imp. It's depressing and soul crushing. You can see death behind the fake smiles and gossip. Sorry it doesn't get better at del. Take the pay cut and keep your dignity. I'm taking up truck driving
woot woot!!
LoL. I am sure you still work for dell and are not some disgruntled laid-off.
Keep on posting about August incessantly.
For shure it's true this time swear to gawd.
Hoping I'm gone too but doubt it
