Thread regarding Apple Inc. layoffs

Apple has hired some bad apples

Apple has hired some bad apples from politically charged companies who advance through office politics rather than doing actual work. This hiring of bad apples has occurred across various departments. Hopefully, Apple will maintain its positive culture and prevent these new hires from having a negative influence.

The modem project is a trainwreck, not only because of the a--holes from Intel, but just as much from letting dropouts from Q run the show. It’s miserable and the mismanagement is appalling. Look at Greg Lie who fu---d up everything phy related, yet he’s still rewarded. What a loser.

A few problematic individuals from Q, including in HR. Don’t be misled by the awards and accolades they’ve received. Someone may even earn a women’s award after contributing to the bullying of female employees and finding ways to shift the blame onto the victims.

Now you know why Intel was so desperate to sell them off at a loss.

Bad apples from politically charged companies with office politics? You mean like those people we got from Intel‘s smartphone division in Germany?

As a shareholder, I think it is better for AAPL to abandon the plan to go vertical in modem and related connectivity technologies. They have spent and are still spending billions and the modem is not ready - even after 8 years! If they had signed a 10 year license with QCOM, they could have negotiated at least a 25% discount. They should have bought back more shares and with the savings from the huge team they DID NOT need to hire, AAPL would be (by back of the envelope calculation) around $300 today. Add the "premium" factor of reduced expenses, Wall St would have further rewarded it by another $10 future earnings premium.

I hope the board reviews the spending on connectivity technologies just like they did on the Apple Car and abandon it.

Some dipsh-ts were just born to be leeches like HR and a lot of fellow employees.
The horrible part is when a full department decides that leeching works and don't deliver.

"As AI starts to take over jobs"
it's called du----s investor hype

JUN 30, 2024
According to MIT professor Daron Acemoglu:

“Given the focus and architecture of generative AI technology today... truly transformative changes won’t happen quickly and few—if any—will likely occur within the next 10 years.”

As AI starts to take over jobs, you'll see more layoffs and longer unemployment lines.

Don't worry. India will save Apple. They've advanced so much that they've added public toilets in the last few years.
