Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Do we know any of this for sure re: August layoffs?

Enterprise and commercial T1 merge. Trim excess. Mb gone absorbed.
AE’s and Dcse merged -trim excess.
Specialty consolidation but I’m hearing that specialty will have the bulk of their cuts in February.
This will be a very large and uncomfortable event.

The DCSE position is really a waste and should go. Never saw the benefit from any of them. They just pass all the work to Speciality.

Extensive usage of the following:
1/Partners
2/AI for Developers
3/AI for Customer Service
4/AI for Inside Sales

For points 2 to 4, if they can just get it past the present-day Chatbot experience and actually make it work, you will see a lot of layoffs.

Not doom and gloom. I’m a Sr. Leader and have elected to retire. August will be painful, I wish you all the best.

Last August notices went out on Monday the 8th ish and the final day was that upcoming Friday. So plan for August 5th or 12th for your calendar invites.
