Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

It’s begun

Talent acquisition/HR team members have begun to receive their notices. Historically the team that gets hit first to then support the broader company wfrs. Good luck to all.

30% drop in the next 3 months. Then an another cut next year. Another set of big org changes and reduction further of SVP/VP, coming from the most incompetent leadership I’ve ever seen.

I don’t understand the “yawn, move on” comment about layoffs on a website called “TheLayoff.com”. Maybe someone else should be “moving on”…

Makes sense that HR/TA would have their layoffs first so that who is left can do the bigger round of layoffs.

Everything I have heard is that the bigger rounds will start in mid July and last until late September. The key is that they want everything done be the end of September, and with some countries having up to 2 months notice period that means starting in Mid July.

Of course smaller numbers have been on going since April.

Several people I know in ISG and CSG have been given a heads up by their managers that they are being "considered" (we all know what that means). In all I think what will happen to each of us has already been decided so not much any of us can do to change it. So good luck to all. I got my heads up and am thrilled.

OP here. To clarify: “have been notified” of their own layoff.

Hr/TA goes first in dismissing team members so the remaining team can support leadership in management of company wide wfrs

Not here to fear monger. Just want to help for those of us who do better mentally preparing for outcomes.
