"Charlotte, N.C.-based Compass Group USA and San Fernando, Calif.-based Fresh and Ready Foods are laying off 65 employees at the company’s Dallas manufacturing facility at 818 Metromedia Place, according to a layoff notice filed with the Texas Workforce Commission.
If a company has more than 100 employees and lays off 50 or more workers, it must provide a 60-day notice to the TWC, according to The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Act.
Compass Group’s and Fresh and Ready’s employees are not represented by a union and will begin being laid off on August 30. The facility will shut down operations on September 30."
