I heard they have started wielding the axe in India engineering office too but are very secretive about it. I just hope they let go the incompetent management folks we had tough time dealing. Letting go lower level employees does not make any change and makes situation worse if anything.

Yes people are being late go, criteria is unknown. It seems it's at discretion of higher management
when i trained my team’s replacements (and i was cut too) they were being graded pretty harshly. if they don’t hit ratings goals they will be cut. most folks there seem unaware of what they’re being graded against. it’s a sh-t way to treat us, them, labor in general. fu-k nielsen.
