Teradata Welcomes Chad Bennett as SVP, Investor Relations and Corporate Development.

Bennett was previously part of Craig-Hallum Capital, where he was Senior Vice President/Partner Equity Research and responsible for primary coverage of SaaS and software companies, including Teradata.

You would have thought he would have done some homework before taking the role. Anyone with a mind of having a reputable career is staying away from Teradata as in the future, it will be a black mark against one's name.

Obviously due diligence is not one of his strong points.

If he were a half-decent analyst, he would have run for the hills. However, there is more at play here. Think about it: why would you bet your reputation on a failing and flailing company if something is not already in the works? Note the business dev part of the title, which points to M&A.

A business looking to make a better product would announce investments and people related to making the product better.

Teradata brings on a new VP of investor relations.

All ELT cares about is quick fixes to prop uo the stock price.
