Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

So I picked remote

despite all the doom and gloom. Not going to RTO. Why would I keep investing in a bad investment.

50% of the USA employees have opted remote to their chagrin. When will the layoffs come down on remotes? If that does happen you hybrids are going to get sc--wed some more. you know that right?

Ah, totally agree with you there! Remote work is such a drag, right? I mean, who wants flexibility, no commute, and the ability to balance work and life? It's obviously a terrible investment in personal sanity and productivity.

Dell is still true to its values by providing equal opportunity for all.

That's what matters at the end, that's what matters . Good job DELL!! Proud to be a crooked-E employee!

While senior leadership will never admit the rto implementation debacle has anything to do with the 22% decline in enps, HR is quietly back tracking on the remote vs. hybrid ramifications. Hybrids were hit just as hard as remotes in recent rounds of layoffs and no one (hybrid or remote) is getting promoted. Dell is still true to its values by providing equal opportunity for all.

I opted for remote in hopes of gettting laid off.
Remotes get freed. The work doesnt go away. Hybrids get more work and an atta-boy pat on the head.

LoL

chose the same, so let them not promote me or possibly lay me off Took several quiet vacations with the fam - all work done while they had fun - and one coming soon
