Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Deviating from the purpose

There are many posts dedicated to venting frustration. I can certainly understand as to why. I can confirm that at large portion of the posts, I’ve seen either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd hand.

While working at Citi and navigating all that is…”Citi”….it is mind numbingly exhausting, what else can you do if you need the money. Stress permeates your being, which is exhausting, which leads to depression, which leads to health issues, which leads to dreading logging in that much more. TheLayoff.com is on some level therapeutic as a venue on letting it all out.

I agree, and I was surprised that I was not the only one feeling this way. Usually people wear a mask and will never share if they are not doing well. Its a good way to vent frustration, but that is about it. I do not think our joint efforts of sharing with others will do nothing else but share a relief. The real issues will continue and its up to us to decide when we had enough and make moves on our personal sides to make that happen. I do not think Citi will drastically change anytime soon, so its bad thinking about waiting it out and see what happens. Its better to try to make moves on what we have control over.
