Who is supposed to be running the inventory process and who is required to work the over night shifts? Our store tries to insist its the back and front of house support that is required. If so why would they have signing take down when the team is all doing over night inventory?

Its all colleagues and certainly not enough help especially this your for self scan. 14 hrs night to get beauty and backstage done. Ridiculous
Inventory is a joke and it continues to be the blind leading the blind.
I hope they have a couple of stretchers laying around in the back for overworked managers, captains, and people leaders. :D
If you look at the directive the MBA is actually assigned to be control desk operator. SMM/OOM are supposed to be EIC. As for scanning in a self take store, it should be all colleagues involved, not just FOH/BOH. I assume as in most cases, it's easier to schedule BOH/FOH support colleagues without creating holes in your sales zones. There are no "requirements" on who scans, just that you fill the shifts. Looks like your store took the easiest option.
OOM runs inventory unless you don't have one, then its the SMM. All shifts are voluntary but generally it's the non-selling colleagues who work it plus whoever signs up from the select areas
The signing team is front of house support. It only takes a couple hours to flip the signs to off sale. Then they will probably audit what’s already been scanned for inventory. It’s like this every year.
