Testing outside direct hires for Execs and NO future for HIPOS

For years there has been internal pushback against bringing in executives from outside. There was a feeling that executives needed to be developed internally by the company. With the push to eliminate HC10 employees this line of thinking has been challenges. The consultants have finally won the battle and now the executives who agreed to try it are all in to make their decision proven correct. HIPOS beware. The limited slots you thought you were competing for are now planned to be filled by outside hires. Executive talent will come from the outside and non-executives will be located outside of HC10 countries. The Spring Campus will be closing just like all of the other sites that have closed.

Many outside executives have already been brought in. A few examples :

CFO
President, LCS
VP Public Affairs
VP Investor Relations
VP Tax and Treasurers
VP, General Counsel, Head of Law
CEO of Pioneer

All these newbies are also bringing in their own lieutenants and trusted advisors ...and those people will bring their own folks.

Finance is a good example...HiPos in finance are doubling and tripling their efforts to get noticed. it's hunger games cubed here. external candidates are getting the top jobs, home-grown execs in waiting are not leaving, but they are not trusted by the new execs...
There's no where to go internally except to lead a GBC or Polaris. Yikes!

I think it is comical that these outsiders from other industries are getting the Executive positions while HiPos fight over scraps.

Need to PIP a lot of HiPos that have been politically placed at the top of rank lists each year even if zero contribution and zero understanding of their current temporary position.

Let’s call it HiPo Purge.

Campus won't close near term, but it is likely that additional buildings will be vacated. They can't seem to keep the ones that they have filled so they keep reducing the headcount in hopes that it may increase the number.
Yes, read that again, it's complete illogical.

This will eventually happen, but at least a decade away. Look at how long it took to make the decision to close NJ and that should have been an easy call.

I believe it. Inevitable next step. If you move all the low level work to India there is no longer.a way to home grow your own top talent. Unless your plan is to grow that top talent in India or hire it from outside.

So the same executives, who just approved consolidating North American Research to the campus, are now going to close the campus? I'm not sure that'll happen any time soon.

Woodlands real estate prices likely to take a temporary dip once the campus is closed.
