There won't be any layoffs this year, even though Qualcomm needs to reduce its workforce by 20%. However, it's essential that senior staff and principal engineers be included in the layoffs. Many of them are doing work that junior engineers could handle, which is resulting in millions of dollars being wasted on salaries. Agree or disagree? Lot if them are realtors too.

@1gqv+1tZrkFB4: Just count the Principal and Above in MST (and for that matter many in dev). Relics of a bygone era, don't code and can't code. Many cannot even do decent code review. Many just sit in scrums and give "directions". Surviving only because they justify their positions and have been saying, "when 4g/5g/6g/AI) arrives, there will be a need for head count and they need mentoring in the Qualcomm Way"...
