Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Does anybody feel safe ahead of layoffs?

I'm sure some do, so do you mind sharing why? I personally believe that nobody outside of the ELT is safe, but I could be wrong.

I would think new people should be very worried - anyone hired in the last year or so. But honestly no one is SAFE.

Sinking ship. Even those who "feel safe" should consider other options if available given uncertainty over the next 3-5 years.

They shouldn’t. Seriously if you do feel safe please please reevaluate. I promise you aren’t. Don’t let it be a huge surprise. Prepare!

I feel safe because I don’t care what happens. Fire me, keep me, whatever. This is purely a transactional relationship to me at this point.

An ISP would be a blessing in disguise to anyone who is ineligible

I sure hope I’m not safe

No one should feel safe, save those who are ineligible to apply. Even amongst those, I’d still be nervous, because management is expected to see cuts as well. This is only a single phase of cuts… I’d expect more in 2025 if the financials continue in the same trajectory.
