Starbucks Board removed there CEO Laxman Narasimhan after 17 months of fallening Sales, Corporate turmoil and influence from Activist Investors. "Earlier on in the year, Schultz said in a letter to the chain's management that it needed to return to its core values and rediscover its "soul." Then the workers at starbucks began to unionize and clashed with CEO Narasimhan. TDC take Note : In Starbucks' press release addressing the leadership change, Schultz didn't acknowledge CEO Narasimhan's time at the company. Instead, he said of incoming CEO Brian Niccol: "I believe he is the leader Starbucks needs at a pivotal moment in its history."
