Thread regarding Raytheon Co. layoffs

Interns are not immune

Two weeks ago, I had to layoff 2 interns from my department. I thought interns were immune. Since we mainly layoff the older engineers, I thought the reductions would not affect my interns.

I was so wrong.

Never had to do something so wrong.

At least they only lost a couple of weeks of pay and learned a good lesson about Raytheon.

Older workers make the most so logical to let them go to save money. So you are correct in age discrimination so they have to let go/sacrifice a younger worker at the same labor grade to hide this. That's what happened to me and it says that in my paperwork.

Usually, it is the older folk that are laid off first.

This must be done to hide the age discrimination issues that always have. Have to lay off a few token young people to deflect their true intent.
