Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

People need to stop assuming layoffs are done

They're not. They will not be done for a while. Dell is plagued with bad leadership. As long as they're in charge, they'll keep cutting costs (or people, to be more precise) - it's time to accept that.

Similar to others, no one is thinks it's done. And there's were plans on another round coming prior to next FY start....

The more "modernization", the more we can let go of roles we don't need any longer.

Every company the size of Dell lays people off. If you want a guaranteed job, go start your own company. Your coworkers aren’t your family. Your boss doesn’t love you. It’s a job.

If Cisco is currently at 80 thousand employees, Dell can be at about 70 thousand or less.

I agree. Dell management will need to constantly evaluate what they've done. I've heard advice from managers saying to employees that you need to plan your life at Dell in weeks.

Yup. No innovation and huge technical debt.
Only way is through cost cutting and penny pinching.
